Congratulations!

To the new 2003/2004
Dancer's Edge Company!

The Dancer’s Edge Company, under the direction of Penni Greenly, has been a community based organization since 1983. Students, ages 10-18 are trained at Southern Dance Theatre in various disciplines of dance. There goal is to make the community more aware of the Arts and the huge impact that it has in developing successful, well-rounded, young individuals. The Dancers contribute to the education of others through their entertainment in hopes of producing lifetime supporters of the Arts or inspiring people to study dance as a recreation or serious art form. These young students are required to keep a high G.P.A. in school, attend dance classes 9-15 hours a week, and serve the community on an average of 75 hours per season.

They are making a positive impact on the lives of many and learning life-long lessons that cannot be taught in a classroom. These tools will shape and mold their character throughout their adult years. Many of the dancers from the Dancer’s Edge Company have gone on to pursue careers in dance as teachers, professional performers, and choreographers.
